Safe House

The Safe House is hidden in an alley off Front Street behind a door marked International Exports. When you enter you find yourself in a vestibule with a table and a bookcase – hmmm – what to do? If you try to use the intercom you need a password or the bartender might make you perform silly feats which the amused patrons inside watch on CCTV.

Inside is filled with spy memorabilia and subterfuge. The menu looked ordinary. We had a beer and a few laughs with the very friendly barman. He gave us lots of Milwaukee tips and we got to keep the beer mugs because we figured out the password.

To exit we had to go into a phone booth, punch a password into the phone and sneak out the basement door – very stealthy.
