Beacon Avenue Shell

I was filling up a truck (I’m carsitting again—yeah!) and this guy comes running out of the gas station yelling “Daniel”. It took me a second to recognize Rafael who, unbeknownst to me, recently became the owner of this Shell station. In the 3 months since Rafael has taken over it’s undergone some major improvements. The awning has been cleaned and looks as good as new. The convenience store is well-stocked and nicely upgraded (with more improvements to come). All the best in filling station fare is now available: fresh jojos, fried chicken, sausage links and even catfish! In the coming weeks: a new car wash and fresh blacktop. This place is getting more awesome by the day.

Is is possible to have a favorite gas station? I think so, and this is my fav. Congrats Rafael! If you stop by say ‘hello’ to Rafael from the Spils brothers.
