Food and antiques  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

Of course we went to visit the palace. But we spent another day in the town itself, which wasn’t half-bad.
One of the reasons I love to visit France is the food. The sight of a boulanger makes my heart jump for joy, not to mention the smell. Versailles also has a lot of restaurants, and luckily some of them are opened on Monday (rare in France).
There is a great Swiss fondue place, if you happen to come across it, don’t be put off by the weird waiter. Another thing to do here (besides visiting the Palace obviously) is antique-shopping.

We stayed at the Mercure hotel near the Chateaux. But we had a lot of trouble getting our car in the hotel’s underground carpark. So beware future guests.
