Winter Quarters Nebraska Temple

Even if you are not a member of the Church of LDS this is a real interesting place to visit. The missionaries at the temple are all very nice and are not overly pushy about what they believe if you are at all concerned about that at all. It’s just an overall very peaceful place. The Trail Center there has a mini museum like exhibit and it’s amazing to learn about the sacrifices people made for what they believed in. Across the street from the Trail Center is the Winter Quarters cemetery where many lost their lives. It’s a very beautiful and peaceful cemetery. Next to the Cemetery is of course The Temple that non members are not allowed to enter but its a beautiful building to witness even from the outside. I loved going to the Mormon Trail Center/Cemetery so much. I returned multiple times. Such a peaceful place. It’s all free by the way which makes it a great little place to stop by when you’re bored and looking for something to do.
