Dundurn Castle

This is the home of the late Sir Allan Napier MacNab, former Prime Minister. In the late 1800s, the City of Hamilton bought Dundurn Castle to make it a place where all citizens of Hamilton go visit and learn about. It is in pristine condition and the tour guides are very nice. Walking through, there is a sense of quiet, and the rooms don’t smell like a regular house; to me, they smell like a different world.

This is a good, reasonably-cheap attraction with a very nice gift shop. You can also visit the War Museum when you buy your ticket. It’s down the path from the Castle.
