A friend had reserved the lower..  — 5 days ago

    Worth visiting!

level for his wife’s “surprise” Birthday party. Everyone had a great time, bowling, shuffleboard, pool, food,Trophy cupcakes ! and an open bar. The lanes were cramped, but that didn’t stop me from bowling 8 lanes! Scott had the foresight to hire
a booze bus so that everyone could consume without worry. I didn’t have to be the DD. Don’t know that I’d return, I like Acme Bowl in Tukwila better.

The bathroom here has one of those old-school type roll towel things.

A rumor about this place  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

Rumors are the Mike McCready (of Pearl Jam fame) is one of the funders of this place. Pretty cool, and it’s a good pool hall with very very fast tables. Fact is, Daniel Spils beat me in one game tonight.

I did kick his ass the other games though.

What I want to do at this place  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

Well, Daniel said that I should go here, and I think he wants to play me in a game of pool. I guess I’ll just have to kick his butt!

I am after all, a card carrying member of the American Pool Players Association and I play in the D.C. league.

    Bring it ON Daniel!

Bowling for Bobbles (08/22): Bob bowled like a Scottish golfer  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

Bob left in style bowling 4 straight games of pure magic. Anticipating his departure to the birthplace of golf, Bob craftily chose to score low. Well under 100 each game. Genius strategy!

“One of the most eccentric games is still found in Edinburgh. The player swings a fingerless ball between his legs and heaves it at the pins. In doing so, he “flops” onto the lane on his stomach.” – from the Bowling Museum website

I hope you partake in Scottish bowling, Bob. It sounds totally hagis, dude! We’ll miss you. Rock on.

Bowling for Bobbles (08/22): Awesome.  — 2 years ago

And if you want, we could move the party over to the Jewelbox Theater later on (starts at 8 but I have to be there a bit earlier). You’ll get to see Maria, Maggie, myself, and a bunch of other people participate in a really weird surrealist salon dream interpretation panel. Have your dreams interpreted, Bob, just in time for your new adventures.

New table felt!  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

Yes it’s true. All 18 pool tables have been resurfaced, and they’re fast as hell. Nice springy cushions, no scuffs, and pristine nap makes for some great games. I didn’t have my cue stick with me when I discovered this last Wednesday, but I think I’ll have to bring it along this weekend to get the full effect of playing on the new and improved nicest tables in town.

Fantastic pool hall  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

18 regulation tables. Big, open space. Ice cold beer. Great burgers and calamari. Sports on the TVs. What’s not to like?

Oh, and a bowling alley, if that’s your thing. The lanes are a bit cramped in my opinion. I’ll stick with the pool, myself.

Best visited during happy hour unless you want to drop a small fortune for table time.

I don't really like the Garage.  — 3 years ago

    Not worth it!

I like pool, I like bowling, but I don’t like the garage.
