I’ve been here many times, but the most unforgettable visit was when I was about 8 or 9 years old. We were hiking. Some hikers above us dislodged some rocks. One of them rolled down and hit my mother’s leg and broke it (the leg, not the rock).
Some people carried her back down the trail, put her in the back of someone’s car and hauled her and my dad to the hospital.
A friend took me and my sibings to my grandparents’ house
