Alaska Cruise

This was one of the best trips I’ve taken in my life! Alaska is so beautiful!

The cruise was wonderful. It was the perfect way to explore the Inside Passage. The ship took us right into Glacier Bay where we could see the glaciers calving.

We also saw a lot of marine life from the ship. In particular there were numerous whales and porpoises, which we saw nearly every day.

I also enjoyed the ship. There was plenty of good food, and a lot of activities of a broad enough range to appeal to just about everybody.

The only drawback was that you spend a lot of time on the ship for only a small amount of time on the land. But that was mitigated somewhat by the fact that you could get some spectacular views from the ship.

Overall it was a tremendous experience. I’d gladly do a cruise like this one again.

If you have a choice, take a small ship cruise or just go by ferry. Those cruise ships tower over the small towns they visit, and you really don’t see much from eight stories up.

In just a couple of hours I will be leaving for the airport to go on my long-await big adventure, our cruise to Alaska!

Mrs. viii and I have our bags all packed and we’re just about ready to go.

The reason that I tell you, my friends this, is that you probably won’t be hearing a whole lot from me in the next week or so.

So if you don’t get any cheers from me for a while, I haven’t written you off, I’m just unavailable right now.

Alaska was beautiful, but I would suggest seeing it without the cruise element. You get so much more.
