Kemmerer

My son and I made a brief visit to Kemmerer. In other words, we stopped here for lunch. I found this place.

I normally like to try eating at a place that has a bit of “local color.” However this place was just a tad too colorful for me. The sign was also a bit disquieting to me. Something about the drive-in/feed store combination just didn’t lure me in. In breaking with the spirit of adventure we opted to eat at Pizza Hut.

Kemmerer’s big claim to fame is that it is the home of the origingal JC Penney’s store. The building is still standing.
