Worth visiting!
The Acadian Village is a tourist spot where you can go back in time, kind of, and visit an old cajun village. It’s in Lafayette, which is kind of in the cut, so it’s hard to get there if you don’t have a car. We didn’t have a car at the time, so we took a Greyhound bus from Baton Rouge and then a local bus from the Greyhound station to the Acadian village.
My favorite part of the village tour was the old man who played happy birthday to me on the fiddle. :) They have a sit down restaurant that was having a buffet on the day I went. The food there was pretty good, and authentic too.
