The first time I went to this place
I parked my car on Falmouth near Hampton, opened the windows and blasted WALK AWAY RENEE on repeat, taking photos all over. People walking by have no idea of the significance, even though they live in the neighborhood.
The southeast corner used to be an empty lot in the 1960s, but it’s houses now.
The “Sign that points one way” is the one on Falmouth, Michael would pass by this sign and daydreaming of Renee Fladen walking away from him, he wrote the song to her.
He made up the part about your name and mine inside a heart upon a wall so I created that in fictional places here on 43P.

Why I want to go to this place
The more I delve into The Left Banke, the more I am facinated by them. Like many good things, they didn’t last long, but they inspired many and created an entire genre referred to as Baroque Rock.

EDEN: Was there really a lot & a one way sign that you would pass by every day?
BROWN: The sign was on Falmouth street in Brooklyn, & the lot was on the corner of Falmouth & Hampton Ave. We used to play in there when we were little children & have praying Mantises drop on our hands, they were the most beautiful creatures you could imagine. And there was a law against killing them, it was a $25 fine because they did good work ecologically.
