Tower

Lake Vermillion is a large lake, with many bays. Fishing is popular here, all year long. Ice houses in the winter months, boating in summer months. Many beautiful sights to see up here. Tower is a tourist town, and has several Lake Vermillion access points. In the fall, we have a look-out tower located on Jasper Peak to climb. It’s about 5 miles northeast from Tower on Hwy. 169. You may have to get someone to show you where it’s at, because it’s just off the highway on a path, and doesn’t exactly JUMP out at you! But it’s such a beautiful sight when you get up there. In the fall, you can see as far as the eye can see, overlooking lakes, rivers, and every color/type of leaves surround you.
There are many many fun things to do here. We have camping, boating, fishing, hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling (lake and many State trails), R/V-ing, etc., etc. Motorcyclists local and visitors alike, come to enjoy the wonderful scenery. There are so many places to ride, and long remote roads as well…if you just want to kick back, ride slow, etc. We also have a spectacular firework display on the 4rth of July. Many tourists come for the Tower parade/activities during this holiday. There’s so much here that I haven’t mentioned….you’ll just have to come see for yourself!
