... are worth the whole trip.

We took the train down from Palermo, and it was a great chance to see the interior of the island, which many don’t get to see. The landscape is almost that of San Diego, CA… and the towns along the way? I specifically remember the stop at Cannigatti. Four old men on a rickety porch of a rickety building, and not much else in sight. There was also a tunnel we went through, where the power went out and I experienced the most total and utter darkness I have ever seen. Quite an experience.

is worth a visit on the out skirts of the town, very busy so go earlier or later to avoid the bus tours.
