Victrola Coffee & Art

Very good coffee, quite strong actually, but that’s the way I like it :)

The locale is beautiful —larger than the average café. The counter is gorgeous, reminiscent of the art deco era. Nice art on the walls. A terrace on the outside makes it good to bring our dog along :) And they have these very comfy, metal chairs:

In general, good atmosphere and crowd :)

This cappucino-lover loves Victrola’s most of all. Fabulous art, and an easy place to run into people you know. Tips for the wise: 1) parking is tricky, usually requiring a loop or two around the block in the neighboring streets—better to walk, bike, or bus; 2) for coffee-to-go, don’t be in too much of a rush—there’s often a line at the counter and the drinks are made with care; 3) no wifi on the weekends—bring a book or a friend.

Their baristas are true coffee artists. You won’t be disappointed.

The best place in the world as far as I’m concerned to get a mocha. It’s the first thing I go when my plane lands in Seattle.

and the good coffee, too…

the coffee at victrola is not good. zeitgeist or ladro are better bets if you’re into coffee. however, victrola does have good tea.

in the seattle region i will have to check this place out and see how good it really is for myself – i could always go for good coffee.

Victrola is in the top 5 for Seattle! (Starbucks BTW is not.)

Victrola represents everything Starbucks is not.

Well, except for both being coffee places, y’know.

And I don’t really drink coffee anymore. Nor do I hang out at coffeehouses.

So for me, even though I like it, it represents yet another cool place I have little reason to go to.

And my favorite place to meet clients. Except when they turn off the Internet access or it’s not working for some strange reason like everybody else in the place is trying to download mp3 files.
