Guerra Meats

I lost my debit card last weekend. One of the downsides of banking at small credit unions is they don’t have many branches. Today I was out of money and needed to get gas. I went down to Guerra and asked if I could overwrite a check for 20.00 just for a tank of gas. Of course I could, since I’m a “regular,” as this site testifies.

Everyone at Guerra’s is so friendly. It is a real neighborhood place. I think it might even be worth checking out if you are vegetarian for homemade pasta and soups and various deli salad things. Probably not if you are vegan, though.

They sell really awesome tamales. They don’t make them themselves, but they get them from Nona’s Kitchen.
