Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

was last week, on my honeymoon. We ate the ice cream, went swimming in Lake Michigan, and went kayaking a little south of town. I love Empire. I want to start (another) music festival there.

The first time I came here I was backpacking with 12 friends and we hiked from Traverse City to Empire. The beach is beautiful and it’s a small, friendly town with great ice cream. Every time we travel to Northern Michigan we try to stop in Empire.

I remember driving through here as a boy. My Grandma Hamp and my mom took us up visiting in the Leelanau Peninsula several times in the early to mid seventies.
