The site of the St. Valentine’s Day massacre is now in the parking lot of an old folks’ home. But it’s worth it to go and see where this event took place.

A rumor about this place
These days it just seems like another seniors home. Trees and grass in a private park, but this is where it happened, the St. Valentines Day Massacre in 1929.
Al Capone and Jack “Machine Gun” McGurn devised this plan to get rid of Bugs Moran.

Why I want to go to this place
I have 2 weeks to make this goal. I just took a job in New York City so my time in Chicago is limited!
I’ve been here but I didn’t know what it was at the time. I want to go back and retrace the events of that day.

A rumor about this place
According to Troy Taylor, author of Haunted Illinois and many other books, “Even today, people walking along the street at night have reported the sounds of screams and machine guns as they pass the site. Passersby often report these strange sounds and the indescribable feeling of fear as they walk past. Those accompanied by dogs report: animals appear to be especially bothered by this piece of lawn, sometimes barking and howling, sometimes whining in fear.”
