A review of this place

A special friend treated us, my Husband and I, to this traditional East Indian restaurant off of Avenue Road in a quiet posh street.

The setting is lovely and convivial- we sat in the solarium near a statuette of an Indian God. Candle light accompanied our jovial conversing.

The food is excellent! Spicy and a pleasure to the senses.
We chose three dishes to share amongst ourselves:
“Saag” – creamy spinach and paneer; “Lazeez-E-Jhinga” – shrimps cooked in a creamy sauce of asparagus, coconut milk, tamarind, mango and poppy seeds and “Nali Gosht” – lamb chops in a medium curry sauce and aromatic spices. All this with Roti bread to scoop it all up. We finished our meal with a delicious “Mango Lassi”, a refreshing mango and yogurt drink that has a thick smoothie-like consistency.

This restaurant is a must if you enjoy treating your taste buds to spicy delicacies. We absolutely love it and cannot wait to go back.
