Worth visiting!
The last time I went to this place
The Balling family frequents this mt. peak. The log notebook is found inside a large karin in a glass jar. I’m on there twice. I reccommend this over spending a lot of money, time, planning on Gannet peak. The view is absolutely breathtaking. The hike from Cub lake on the Dry Creek drainage is the easiest and is about 10 miles to the summit. It is easily climbed in one day without a pack. I’ve seen big horn sheep, elk, mt. goats on the summit. On top you can see all the glaciers and the 5 highest peaks in WY. Febbas is 10th highest. If you are in the Dinwoddy or dry creek areas, it is worth the hike. Oh yeah, there is this awesome waterfall pouring out of Knoll lake at the top. And if you like non-animal life, there are lots of unique plants, lichens, and fungi up on horse ridge that you don’t see at the lower elevations. There is a great website here. http://www.summitpost.org/mountain/rock/153552/mount-febbas.html
