Painted Canyon

Went with my boyfriend. Spent several hours hiking the ladder trail. It was simply beautiful.

This was probably one of the most amazing hikes I’ve ever been on, despite the fact that the trail eventually turned into not-a-trail and we had to turn around. The first half of the hike involved snaking through some slot canyons and climbing up and down rickety-seeming-but-actually-sturdy ladders. Overall we climbed about 500 feet in altitude, after which we were treated to some stunning vistas of the canyons. Overall, the hike took a surprisingly short 2.5 hours. It was well worth the time spent.
