Bominaco

This is a tiny village, connected by a few buses a day with L’Áquila. Apart from the top of the ridge [I didn’t get htere which is one major reason for wanting to go back] there are two -yes,two – churches. Santa Maria Asunta is worth seeing but the real knock-out is San Pellegrino – and it’s superb! If it were in Tuscany, it would be unbearably crowded – but it isn’t!
