Skydive Moab

Start of July, 2007 – driving across country, stopped in Moab & headed to the DZ. Clint (the DZO) was awesome – it’s primarily a tandem operation, but he had a Cessna-182 load going up with a single tandem in it, so he was more than happy to accommodate us.

View on the ride to altitude were breathtaking. Flying over Canyonlands and Dead Horse Point, the girlfriend had a better view than I did, and she was uber-impressed. Only bummer is, the views were somewhat obscured by the smoke from the massive fire in western Utah that we had driven through the day before. (But the fact that the fires happened at all was a bummer in and of itself, so really, who are we to complain?)

Anyway, a great little DZ. Some of the most gorgeous scenery on the way up (and down) that I’ve seen. If you’re a non-skydiver, this’d be a great place to try a tandem. If you’re an up-jumper, swing by and get in a jump when you’re in the area – you’ll be glad you did. I’ll be coming back for the boogie in September.
