Worth visiting!
Why I recommend this place to visitors
2 reasons
1. The only airport in the UK to be a stretch of sand on a big beach, with precise flight times depending on the tide;
2. The island is very narrow at this point and it’s possible to take a bus from Castlebay, drop off at the west opposite the airport and walk round the northernmostpoint in time to see the plane land and get the bus again back to Castlebay.
