Norms Restaurant

The first time I ate at Norms was Fall of 2000. I was helping a friend working on a (shitty) movie, and it was 2:00 AM. We were somewhere in the Valley, and Norms was the only place that was open. I had the steak and eggs, which were slices of heaven.

Since then I made it a point to try every Norms location. The Norms on La Cienega is as good as any Norms I tried. We ate there a few times.

I probably ate at the Huntington Park Norms the most. My father drives long haul truck, and would occasionally get “stuck” in Los Angeles (near Vernon and Bandini warehouse area). I’d pick him up and drive out to Norms.

I even ran into one of my 6th graders at that Norms. She was shocked to see me eating there (and not back at school chained to my desk feasting on county).

I owe her a Norms lunch when she graduates.
