A review of this place: It was okay, but....
the coffee is not as good as it could be. It just doesn’t have a good taste, even though it’s presented nicely. The food is diner-style dishes made vegetarian with fake meat like seitan and tofu. There were a reasonable selection of meals for vegans there, as long as you like the fake meats (I don’t!). However, they do have some fairly good vegan desserts like cake and cupcakes. It’s nothing I couldn’t make at home, but a ready-made desert from a restaurant is something I don’t get that often. I might go there more often just for the sugary stuff if I lived closer.
On Green’s website that the restaurant’s founder is vegetarian for dietary, not ethical, reasons.

A review of this place: "No meat will be ever cooked at green"
...is stated on the to go menu and I am sooooo happy with that! green has everything from breakfast to salads to sandwiches. Try the chopped bbq w/ pickles and onion. It is soooo good! They also serve vegan desserts (the chocolate cake is decadent!!!). The chef, Mike, is a friendly vegetarian who knows what his Texan customers want (biscuits and vegan sausage gravy, chicken fried wheat-meat, buffalo tofu fingers)!!! And the atmosphere is very laid-back and very much like a coffee shop (free wifi, a patio where you can lounge to your hearts content…) green only opened its doors on the 22nd of Jan, so it definitely needs the support of all those looking for a deliciously healthy meal at a good price!
