The best DVD rental place I've been to...EVER!!! by cranberrygoddess
and I used to have a great one back home near my work.
They have foreign films organised by country, and the people I know from non-american countries have commented on what a great range they have from their native country (myself for Australia, and my roommates for Ireland and France), they have a great American and local new york section organised by decade, they have great stuff organised by director. They have a great doco collection. They have tonnes of good TV series, including from other countries (mostly britain). They cost $3.25 per night, but then you can only get them for one night (not a problem when they are only half a block’s walk away though). They are open till 11pm, even though they are an indy kinda place. If you ask them for… ‘that movie, with the thing, starring that guy, you know, the guy…’ they know exactly what you are talking about and where to find it.
My only problem with the place – I can’t take it with me when I go back home to Australia!
