I love this restaurant because it offers a big mix of all my Asian favorites from Thailand, Yunnan and Myanmar.

Southern City Restaurant in Tien Mu is one of my favorite restaurants in Taipei. The food is great and it’s always served fast. It’s also pretty easy on the wallet. With most dishes ranging between $2 and $3 US, we can’t help but order anything and everything that catches our eyes. We’ve taken friends there on several occasions and keep going back for the friendly service, quaint interior and friendly staff. I especially love their coconut tofu and fried pineapple and shrimp rice. After a filling meal, you can walk it off by wandering the area and shopping at any of the discount stores in the area. Tien Mu is known for cheap shopping and has a wonderful vibe.
