Why I recommend this place to visitors
This home from 1869 belonged to Dr. Groesbeck. He lived among the very wealthy back when living on Washington was a status symbol. Many rich socialites lived in this neighborhood back then, long before the Blackhawks played at a silly nearby stadium.
