Fountain of the Great Lakes

I don’t know much about the history of the fountain. Obviously the fountain has a different backdrop now since that black and white photo was taken.

I visit the Art Institute at least once a year. I usually pass by the area where the fountain is located. This time I stopped and took pictures. It is a very serene place. Kind of reminds me of the park in Paris outside of the Rodin’s Museum.
