Not if you don’t have a car. The bus stops 7 km away from Progreso and there’s no one until 7AM next morning. Only chance: car stopping. We found it easy to get to Progreso, and even to get out after the party but only getting to Esperanza: from then on no-one lifted us. And this is a country proud of “gauchada” and friendly people! You tell me!
