but no-one came to take my order. In a way, I was kind of glad as I took a look at the drinks menu and recoiled at the price of even the cheapest drinks!

Maybe it was the position of the table that I found myself at, but I couldn’t see all that much of a view :( The view looking down was mostly blocked by the huge parasols that covered the outdoor restaurant area below, though I could look across and up at the towering rocky scenery.

After a few minutes, I picked up my rucksack and quietly slipped out past a confused waiter.

after a long day of trekking up, down and all around this medieval village. The bar’s panoramique terrace literally clings to the rock hillside boasting spectacular views of the Cote d’Azur. I enjoyed a warm pot of tea while Terry savored his glass of wine & nibblies. To say the view was breathtaking is an accurate description. It’s a moment I’ve gone back to many times since returning home.
