Da Vinci Horse Sculpture aka: Nina Akamu's The American Horse

At 24 feet tall, this sculpture towers over you. It’s quite a feat to imagine how they piece so many sections of steel together to create this beautiful artwork.

If Da Vinci had finished his own work, it would be more culturally significant but the fact that she finished the work from his notes and drawings still sends a chill through you that this art is based on the idea of one of the artistic masters of all time.

I read about this long before they made it, I never quite made the time to go when I was closeby.. although 3 hours away isn’t THAT far. I will see this over the summer..
