Bob-Lo Island

Thanks to my pal, Danimatian, for triggering this memory. Just when I thought I’d exhausted all places I’d been to; seeing his posting of this reminded me that I had indeed been there before it closed.
I went there as a freshman in high school which would have made the year 1977. I can remember CE throwing overboard his little PoPo Ji Jo doll.

I never appreciated this place enough. Like many things you just assume they will always be around. I wish I could go back. I remember dancing and having fun on the boat ride and once we got there running around to see all we could do on the island. There aren’t many photographs online.. no digital cameras back then haha.

I went here in 1992, very shortly before it closed.
