All Night Cafe by Stephen Boyle

Plaka has been 24 hours for a long time. They’ve watched the evolving of Greektown from Trappers Alley in the late 80’s to the birth of Greektown Casino and further changes along the block. They remain one of the favorite places to find people grabbing an early morning bite to eat before the sun comes up.

As a bus-bound local this is one of my favorite spots to hang out waiting after the clubs and bars close at 2am. When the 6am SMART bus resumes service northbound on Woodward to the suburbs again you’ll find me dashing back to the bus stop.

It's always open. by danimatian

Plaka is the “Denny’s of Greektown” it’s always there for you when you need it, at 2pm or 2am… anytime in between.
