Pražský Orloj aka: Prague Astronomical Clock

Prague has changed a lot since I first went, right after the fall of the Velvet Curtain. It has become touristy, but the things that made it great a decade ago remain… the architecture, the scenery, the czech glass, shopping… and don’t forget the history.

The cathedrals are amazing, entertainment of high quality can be found inexpensively. This glochenspeil (sorry I don’t speak or know how to spell in German) is awesome! There are crowds around it at performance time so get there early and claim your view.

This clock has life size figurines that pop in and out instead of a cuckoo… truly impressive given its age.
