There’s a large range of options inside this little butcher’s shop. The Block and Cleaver, aside from having a really cool name, also has some pretty cool stuff at pretty reasonable prices.

Deli meats and cheeses compare well to grocery stores such as A&P, and the selection may even be better (Oka cheese!).

The Block and Cleaver also has a freezer full of items that are perhaps less enticing than interesting to the inquisitive food shopper. These include blood sausages, sweetbreads and other fare.

Because it is located just across King St. from Market Square, the Block and Cleaver is a great place to grab some steaks after browsing the Farmer’s Market.
