To be respected in Felix’s means you gotta eat at the stand-up oyster bar, talk and joke with the shuckers, drink Coronas and make yourself a horseradish cocktail dip that brings tears to the eyes of those standing around you. Don’t order cooked food – just oysters. And lots of’em. And tip well. These folks deserve it. I just love this place!!!

What could possibly be more decadent than Felix’s oysters en brochette: alternating oysters and 2-inch cubes of bacon on a skewer, all battered and deep-fat fried. It will shave minutes (or years?) off the end of your life, so do weigh how much you value immediate versus delayed gratification. All-around wonderful eats, in a bustling atmosphere.
