thats all I can say about it absolutely my favorite place in DC. If you go to DC and dont go there you are an idiot.

I just didn’t get it, maybe modern art isn’t for me. Loved the outdoor pieces, especially the balloon above the water (which is amazing at night lit up and in itself maybe worth a trip) but the interior stuff, I could definitely pass on.

On the Mall.. by Ursula Haigh

across from National Gallery of Art & Sculpture Garden.

I enjoyed this oddly amusing sculpture outside the Hirschorn and inside I was completely captivated by the H.C.Westerman exhibit. He works consisted of found objects. Bottle caps,trophy parts,mirrors, decals, paper ephemera,laminated plywood,typeset letters stamped on wood,all combined together capturing my attention for over an hour!
