Worth visiting!
I walked into this place literally the first week that it was open. It was one of the things that made living in Carrboro what it was. Now that it has moved it isn’t the same, but in its original location it had a very fluid social atmosphere. Strangers spoke easily to one another. In the early days it didn’t have so much live music and I liked that better because it meant the clientele entertained each other. I met some great and interesting people there – some of the most memorable people of my life, really. I watched a lot of dramas unfold there, and even took part in some. And, not insignificantly, I wrote the bulk of my dissertation there, long-hand. It was a slow process, but I think it was worth it. :)
