Finding an Italian restaurant in London is easy. Finding one that serves good real Italian food and that doesn’t charge stratospheric prices is nigh on impossible. This is why it is quite refreshing to find a place like Spiga, right in the middle of trendy Soho. The pizzas there have been recommended to me by an Italian friend of mine as some of the best in London. But the menu goes beyond this, with a nice selection of appetizing secondi piatti. The wine list is unashamedly Italian and of good quality. The staff is nice and efficient although, in typical London fashion, don’t be surprised if you have a Mexican waiter. And the price is right: not budget but not extortionate either.
