The pho is slightly sweeter than I’m used to. Not that that’s a bad thing.

This place impressed me. The decor wasn’t all that exciting, but it had plenty of vegetarian options and the two dishes we got (vegetarian beef pho and some kind of curry soup) were both really good. It was also cheap.

The Pho wasn’t nearly as good as Than Bros. (indeed, how could it even aspire to be?), but I’ll hafta give it another go since I hear good things about their food.

The blurb in the food section of the Stranger that practically promises a vegetarian’s pants on your bedroom floor moments after the meal doesn’t hurt, either.

I love Ballet. But if you’re looking for fancy pan-asian food, don’t go here. I describe it to friends as great blue collar food in a family-run restaurant with the funnest (and apparently sexiest) waitstaff in town.

This truly is a place where everyone knows your name. Dzung (waiter) is the king of memorizing customer names—he’s memorized all 7 of our names from the Co-op and even knows our most commonly ordered dish. Dzung’s sisters, Diem and Stephanie, are good at this, too. Mom and Dad work the kitchen. Long live the Ballet family.
