Cypress Inn

This place is possibly one of the most underrated places to dine in Carmel. They are dog-friendly and usually have a band playing in their foyer with lots of room to lounge and talk to other dog owners.
The key is that it is technically only a bar which is why you won’t see a server to seat you when you walk in. Just grab a seat (I STRONGLY recommend the far back where there is a lounge area that is very private).
I have not stayed here overnight as I am a local but I eat here whenever I get a chance. My girlfriend loved it – I recommend their cold smoked salmon. The bar is illuminated and has a great atmosphere without too many tourists crowding the place.
They ALSO have a patio to dine at.
There are better places to sleep but few better to dine on a casual night.
