Yosemite National Park

While I’ve not been to every national park yet… This one continues to be my favorite. Just something about the valley, the forest, and the geology that lowers my jaw everytime.

go biking, hiking, photag crazy with the wilderness…but BEWARE! That isn’t Yogi bear over there! Those bears have got some smarts and know how to pick your locks to get to your food!

It is awesome…..

Go in/around spring and not in late summer, because by the time we hiked 7 miles to see Upper Yosemite Falls, it was just a wet spot on the side of the cliff.
We also passed Mirror Lake thinking it was a pond.
Even still, Yosemite is a wonderful experience well worth your efforts.

we used to go every summer. it’s so beautiful and relaxing. we have tons of memories. i plan to start the tradtion again.

Yosemite Valley is the prettiest place I’ve been so far…and I’ve been alot of pretty places..
if you go you have to hike up the Mist Trail to the bottom of the falls and at least up to Little Yosemite Valley at the top…(if you can make Half Dome even better, but not everyone can…it makes for a loooong day) Glacier Point is another MUST SEE… and Yosemite Falls if unbelievalbe in the spring (we went in summmer and it wasn’t much to look at) Stayed at Camp4 (climbers camp) and had a GREAT TIME.. in the evenings go down to the viewing field below ElCap and you can see the climbers up on the face of the almost 4000ft. granite monlolith El Capitan (bring binoculars)... Tuolmone Meadows is another must see.. and Cathedral Lakes, and Sunrise Lakes…lol.. plan on spending at least a week.. maybe more.. there is toooo much to do and see here….

I can’t believe I’m a native Californian and it took me until I was 51 years old to visit Yosemite…but it was every bit as glorious as I thought it would be.

i live in the bay area.. and i was pressed for time.. so i decided to leave early saturday (5 in the morning) so i could spend the day there.. i wasn’t planning on staying overnight.. but let me tell you.. ONE DAY IS NOT ENOUGH.. that place is huge!

yosemite is beautiful in autumn.. with all the green, brown, and yellow colors of fall surrounding you

someone recommended the vernal falls and nevada falls trails.. since those were the only waterfalls that were running during this time of year.. i ended up just doing the vernal falls trail

this is something i will remember for the rest of my life.. i’m definitely planning on visiting again.. maybe next spring
