A tip I have about this place  — 7 months ago

    Worth visiting!

Even though it’s now a chain (owned by the same people who own Moe’s I think) Flying Biscuit is still delicious! The best one is in Little 5 points, but the one next to Piedmont park is good too. Either way, the people-watching is great! The food in the Buckhead location is still mighty tasty, but the atmosphere is not quite the same…think preppy people serving you as opposed to tattooed and pierced servers. One of my all time favorite restaurants.

I recommend the High Flyer or the Veggie Scramble. And get the grits over the potatoes! mmm I love the cran-apple butter that comes with the biscuits…

This is by far the coolest restaurants I have had the pleasure of visiting. Not only is the food good, and I’m sorry but good is all I will give it, but the atmosphere is amazing.
The restaurant is in a very cool downtown area, with shops and other eateries. The people are very different than I am used to here in my hometown. And the coolest thing, the restaurant is all indoors, but you feel as if you are outside. Huge open windows let the breeze blow through, but you are protected from the sun, which is always a plus in “Hotlanta.”
The Flying Biscuit has inspired me to open a restaurant in my hometown someday. My biggest wish is for my restaurant to be nearly as cool as this one. A must see if in the area!!!

The Candler Park location is the one with charm. Food and service in both locations is good overall, but inconsistent.

One of my favorite placees to eat! I love everything. Great selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarin foods. Their breakfast-type meals are especially good and you abosolutely HAVE to have a buscuit.

it’s crowded, overblown, but the food’s delish and it’s a landmark. if it’s too crowded, just wait across the street at gato bizco, which is cheaper and has more amazing food, including some of the best biscuits in the south….mmmm

And I know my biscuits. Whenever I go back home, I always make sure that the Biscuit is the first and the last place I visit on every trip. Good, creamy grits, awesome love cakes (black bean), and a friendly and progressive atmosphere. Atlanta could use more places like it.

Cheese grits and biscuits. I can’t imagine what I’d do without them.
