Mike has an upcoming business trip to Hong Kong and Singapore and for several months we’d been trying to figure out if I could go too (logistically). Turns out that all of our planning and problem solving was for not b/c now I have a business trip planned to Floripa during the same time.

triste que nos últimos anos, graças ao nosso antigo governador, tem sido destino certo por todo tipo de gente querendo viver e emporcalhar uma ótima cidade de se viver por um “paraíso tropical” onde todo dia se surfa e come camarão.
mera ilusão, principalmente com toda essa invasão (sem contar os argentinos de calção com cores berrantes).

Florianopolis is a wonderful place, it is suited for all the family, all kinds of people.
There are beaches for all tastes, for example, there is Praia Mole for surfing, A Lagoinha (Lagoa da conceição) for the kids as the water is very warm and shallow and the Praia Jureré International for all the family.
I’ve been there for New Year for the past 4 years and we have lots of fun jumping 7 waves at midnight and making wishes for the year to come.

heard its safer than many other cities in brasil
wud really luv to be there to see the nice beaches and the brasilian people as well
