just off season, from March to May. No heavy traffic, crowds, overpricing,etc. and the nicest best weather.

Florianopolis is great! I recommend you make accomidations somewhere for about 2-3 days and spend that time finding somewhere else to stay. Booking online is so much more expensive than once you get there… Campeche beach is quiet and fun, Lagoa Connection has a bus station that makes it easy to go everywhere so I like it. Praia Mole is a fun surfer beach with drinks and food. I live in floripa 3 months every year (summer)

Try to avoid high season. Traffic may spoil your trip.

Mike has an upcoming business trip to Hong Kong and Singapore and for several months we’d been trying to figure out if I could go too (logistically). Turns out that all of our planning and problem solving was for not b/c now I have a business trip planned to Floripa during the same time.
