La Plata

La Plata is the capital city of the Buenos Aires province (wich surrounds Buenos Aires city but is a different district). Its a very interesting city, completely designed before the first brick was put in place. You can go there to see it’s great architecture, enjoy its nightlife and go to theaters. La Plata is home of La Plata National University one of the country’s most important, so you’ll find lots of young people living there. La Plata is also home of Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata and Estudiantes de La Plata (they suck) soccer teams you can also see a good match if you go there on a weekend.

This city just south of Buenos Aires is where my family is from. It has a small-town feel to it, and it is home to the Universidad de La Plata, a famous cathedral and natural sciences museum. It’s also home to some of the nicest people I’ve ever run across. :)
