South Bend

...was to attend a football game in Notre Dame Stadium.

Notre Dame beat Stanford. Or was it the other way around?

okay, this was really only “worth visiting” b/c i have a kickass friend who lives there. we went to a nice restaurant, but there’s not much to the town. i had a ton of fun b/c of the company i had, but i wouldn’t go there alone.

love the midwest, especially South Bend right along the St Joe river…

It smells like a bread factory there. I liked the cobblestone streets

If you find yourself in South Bend, you have to see the Notre Dame Bascilla. You don’t have to be a Christian (which I’m not) to experience its sombre beauty.

I’m not a native but this place has become home to me.

I went through here on a bus.. had to wait at a station in South Bend for a while around Christmas.. it was a blast.. lol

I was born in La Porte, which is basically another part of South Bend with another name. I still have a lot of family in the area so we usually visit every so often. One of Oprah Winfrey’s homes is nearby, much to the delight of my mother. Near her home there’s also a great little apple orchard with awesome green apples.

maybe this is a ok place to visit but if you have the money to travel, why would you go to South bend if you can go to any other place. i lived there for 7 years. there isn’t a whole lot to do. you can go to the movies, out to eat or shop, that’s about it. and then there is corn, and more corn. only good thing about it is that South bend is close to Chicago.
