Palmdale

This place known only to the world as Palmdale is, in a word, monotonous. It’s enough to make anyone cry sometimes. Monotony will do that to even the best of people- my friend says that he cried because there is nothing to break the cycle out here. Nothing- it is a desert wasteland that is slightly better than some places in the world. I swear, counting marks on the wall and reading the dictionary is far better than this place.

Like Lancaster. If I had to pick one of these places, I’d pick Palmdale, only because of the forward-thinking city council. The mayor is top-notch. Please don’t ask about the Lancaster city council…

yesterday

oy, palmdale. desert. red rock. little brush and shrubs. coyotes whining in the distance. there are some stunning views though. if you go up in altitude a little you get to look over the entire town and see the airforce base in the distance. and you can see huge snow-capped mountains in the distance. but all in all there is nothing to do there. it’s quickly becoming developed by tons of houses that look the same. hell, if you google a satelite image of palmdale all you see are red roofed houses. lots of strip malls. but i dig some of the people. lots of hispanics which gives palmdale a really laid back feel, good people. i’m moving there in august and after living on the big island, i’m not too thrilled with the place change. but it will only be for a little while and i think i’ll figure out how to make the best of it. i think i will like it better than rhode island. i don’t like rhode island. weird people.

besides the place being boring and such, star gazing is amazing over there. :]
