Orlando

I live in Florida, just 2 hours or so (with my driving ;)) away, so we go to Orlando ALL the time. I’ve been to all the theme parks, most the dinner shows, tons of restaurants, etc. I love it there, except for all the tourists, but I guess we need your money lol. Just try driving like you live here. Plenty of fun times.

If you’re into roller coasters I personally believe either Islands of Adventure or MGM (or Disney’s Hollywood Studios, whatever they wanna call it now) have the best. If you have little kids go to Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, or get a park hopper pass. If you want a dinner show Arabian Nights or Medieval Times are the best. And if you want an amazing italian restaurant- Pacino’s is delicious.

Disney sure know how to make their theme parks. Go on the roller coasters! All of them! I did, and I was just 10. Your not scared are you? Buk buk buk! lol oj

Pretty much the only time I went to Orlando was to go to Disney World and it’s various parks. I LOVED it, and would definitely like to go again, mainly to see the rest of the city.

Living in Orlando was turning point in my life. I became more social and experienced “the city”. Coming from a small southern town, this was a big deal. I met a lot of people and drove around and around. I went to school there and worked as a Pizza Hut delivery driver. I’ve experienced many ups and downs of life there. Had a lot of laughs, met many great friends, learned new things, etc etc. I now live in San Diego, but this place will always hold many great memories :)

Now..onto the bad. Traffic sucks! I swear there’s an accident everyday on Interstate 4. Your 10 mile trip north will now take you..2 hours to reach! :) People can’t drive! During conventions, International Drive is a serious pain. Good luck weaving around traffic then. Around I-Drive, there are many black Lincoln TownCars with numbers on the rear bumper. I called these things elite taxis. These drivers from some third world country will cut you off and almost get you into an accident. Watch out!
Everything is pricey and quality isn’t always up there. Sure, come here if you’re loaded. But don’t be surprised if the money goes away fast. The weather gets pretty nasty and humid. Can anyone say HURRICANE PARTY?! hahaha good times.
It’s a great place for tourists! The parks are cool. My family enjoyed visiting me. Living there sucked! Sure won’t miss the raccoons digging through garbage on the 3rd floor of my condo.

so i moved here from dc about 4-5 years ago.what i expected and what i recieved were 3 different things.all in all if your down for a bunch of frat dudes and mindless conversations then this place is for you.if your expecting parks…gotta drive about an hour(depening on traffic) to get there,pay about 75$ for a tix and then pay for parking and over priced food and drinks.as for downtown orlando,its a nice place to go hangout if your new to the area and are loaded.very seldom will you find a bar with decent drink specials, or youll find an all you can drink bar with horrible music and a horrible scene.

i live right next to ucf,and if i could suggest,ucf is one of the worst schools in the nation.they keep increasing fees on students,they make you take classes completely irrelavent to your major, and the education is the 3rd worst in the country.

food is meh.TONS of fast food places and TONS of tourists.if your here to visit thats cool.if your looking to move here then i warn you.alot of fake people,alot of bs,alot of crime,alot of idiocracy,and cost of living is horrible if you can even find a job.

theres more people then jobs,which leaves people that are going to school with out jobs.here a BA is the new HS diploma.if your ok with the fact that you’ll be broke as hell after you leave or in total if you move here, then go for it.but if your strapped for cash then this place will only suck you into crime and later on major disappointment.if you have any questions let me know ill be more than happy to give you more details.
