A review of this place: 19 years in Freakmont
Theres something to be sqad for the reason citys get nicknames. Livermore= Live No More. Fremont= Freakmont.
There is nothing to do in Fremont! But I cant complain b/c there a hell of a lot worse cities out there. We have 2 bowling alleys, one of which houses a man whose a little to friendly with this teen. The nice movie theater is about 4 miles up 880 in union city.
Ill stop TRASH talking because although it is BOREmont…...its an awesome place to live.

Lived here for most of my life
I lived here for 18 years, and besides the bad driving and sometimes boring monotony of it, I still love Fremont. There is actually a bit that tourists might find interesting – the Mission, driving in the hills, the bay, Niles’ Antique District, maybe Pacific Commons…who knows? Sunol is really nearby, and that has horses and camping, so that’s cool too. Oh, and there’s Lake Elizabeth, which is pretty despite the goose poo.
Go to Fremont! Great ethnic food too! Yay!

The first time I went to this place
I was bored on the day after my birthday a couple of years ago. I was waiting for my girlfriend to get out of school so we could go to watch a baseball game at the Network Associates Coliseum. I spoke to my friend online in England (where I’m from) to pick out any place on the BART map and I would go there.
He picked Fremont so I went there. I looked around a bit, found Central Park (which is quite the opposite of central) had some lunch, and then picked up the baseball tickets on my way home.
It was a wonderful way to waste a day.

Don't confuse this place with somewhere "to go"
I spent my later years growing up in Newark/Fremont, and including Union city, the 3 really don’t have anything to offer a traveller. Sure, they might be a good place to live given you can still buy 2-bedroom condos there for around $450k (as of 2005) whereas just across the bay you can expect the same to start at $600k+++
